Staff Report / QueenCreeklocal.org
The Queen Creek Police Department (QCPD) provided an update regarding an incident on Oriole Way and 225th Street, near Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary School, where a person was reported to be in possession of a firearm.
Authorities responded to the scene and swiftly detained one individual. As a precaution, the school was placed on lockdown during the initial investigation.
