**Casa Grande Officer Nominated for National Heroism Award**

**Casa Grande, AZ** — Officer Joshua Samuel of the Casa Grande Police Department has been nominated for the 2025 AXON RISE Award. This national award celebrates first responders who go above and beyond in their service, showcasing acts of exceptional bravery and dedication.

The nomination recognizes Officer Samuel’s heroic actions on December 13, 2024. During a house fire, Officer Samuel saved a man’s life by tearing off a door frame of the residence, which was fully engulfed in flames. His courageous efforts ensured the occupant's safety in a life-threatening situation.

Officer Samuel is now one of 20 finalists for the award, and the community has the opportunity to support him by voting online. Voting is open until January 27, 2025, with individuals allowed to vote once per day. The top 10 nominees with the highest votes in each category will be reviewed by a judging panel. Winners will receive a series of rewards, including an all-expenses-paid trip to Axon Week in Phoenix (April 22-25), a $1,000 valued gift, and an Axon Roadshow celebration.
