MCDOT shares how to identify road maintenance

Maricopa County Department of Transportation, or MCDOT, said roads in Maricopa County can be maintained by cities, the county, or the state.

MCDOT said it maintains roads it found mainly in unincorporated areas, with some roads located inside city or town limits.

The agency said residents can check which agency maintains a road by using the free Road Information Tool (RIT) or by contacting MCDOT directly. If the road is maintained by MCDOT, the agency said it will take care of it, and if not, it will help point people in the right direction.

MCDOT shared a link to the tool at MCDOT.me/RIT.
