Enhanced Youth Safety Measures During Fall Break

Staff Report / QueenCreeklocal.org

The Queen Creek Police Department, along with the Gilbert Police Department and the Mesa Police Department, is launching a safety initiative for youth during the upcoming fall break beginning September 20th. The focus of this initiative is to ensure the safety of teenagers by deploying extra patrols in areas where they typically gather and by enforcing laws related to curfew, underage drinking, and disruptive behavior.

The town has established curfew hours for juveniles who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian. The curfew is set from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for those aged 15 and under, and from midnight to 5 a.m. for those aged 16 and 17.

Residents are encouraged to report any illegal activities or suspicious behavior to the Queen Creek Police Department by calling the non-emergency number at 480-358-3500. In case of an emergency, residents should call 9-1-1.

For more information regarding parties and gatherings, residents can visit the Queen Creek Police Department's website at QueenCreekAZ.gov/QCPD.
