The Casa Grande Fire Department said its firefighters regularly practice ladder operations as part of ongoing training.

According to the post, the drills include raising and climbing ground ladders to reach second-story windows and balconies. The department says a tape measure placed on a brick wall marks the height of an average second-story residential window to create a realistic target for the training.

The department said the hands-on exercises help crews build speed, skill, and confidence to safely access elevated areas during emergencies, and that continuous training is meant to prepare firefighters to respond when the community needs them.
